Ouverture officielle du Centre Kintana de la Fondation Akbaraly à Antananarivo
La mise en place du Centre Kintana est intervenue alors que le Covid-19 est apparu sur la Grande île. Des infrastructures ont été rajoutées pour permettre d’accueillir les malades atteints du virus. Les équipements comprennent notamment des appareils respiratoires et autres matériels de haute technologie.
Une partie des équipements du Centre Kintana ont été mis à disposition de l’hôpital Manara-penitra de Toamasina au mois de mai dernier. La région Atsinanana étant la région la plus touchée par le virus à Madagascar.
« Nous sommes prêts à accueillir les malades graves de cette maladie » affirme la Présidente de la Fondation Madame Cincia Catalfamo Akbaraly durant son discours lors de l’inauguration du Centre Kintana. Dans l’espoir que la maladie sera éradiquée rapidement à Madagascar, le Centre Kintana pourra accomplir sa mission principale de Centre de santé et prévention des maladies oncologiques.
La Fondation Akbaraly a mené diverses actions dans le cadre de la lutte contre le covid-19. Des remises de dons ont été effectuées auprès de la Communie Urbaine d’Antananarivo, des actions de sensibilisation sur les mesures d’hygiène ont également été menées auprès de diverses entreprises.
